ENOUGH IS ENOUGH: ARCELORMITTAL ABUSES IN LIBERIA MUST END

Liberia should be a nation celebrating the contributions of investors to its growth and development. However, this vision is far from reality. For over 20 years, ArcelorMittal has inflicted widespread human rights abuses, leaving communities, former employees, and families devastated. Despite countless calls for action, the Government of Liberia—both past and present—has done nothing to address corporate greed, exploitation, and neglect. Victims continue to suffer in silence, with cases dating back to the company’s inception left unresolved. ArcelorMittal’s defiance of government authority demonstrates an alarming disregard for justice and accountability.

The time has come to say, boldly and collectively: Enough is Enough! Liberians must unite with civil society organizations, affected victims, and impacted communities to demand justice, transparency, and an end to corporate abuse. It is essential to amplify these voices across radio stations, newspapers, and social media, ensuring that the fight for justice cannot be ignored. Leadership must prioritize the well-being of its citizens, and action must be taken immediately to reclaim Liberia’s dignity and sovereignty. Together, we can build a future free of exploitation and filled with equity and fairness.
